Das Trinity College Dublin wurde 1592 gegründet und ist damit Irlands älteste Universität. Der Hauptcampus liegt im Herzen Dublins, wenige Gehminuten von der Grafton Street, dem Dáil und den meisten zentralen Stadtteilen entfernt. Mit rund 47 Acres ist er kompakt genug, um alles zu Fuß zu erreichen, was im Alltag mehr ausmacht als man zunächst denkt.
TCD rangiert in QS 2024 auf etwa Platz 81 in Europa und rund Platz 160 weltweit. In Irland belegt es je nach Rankingsystem den ersten oder zweiten Platz.
